Sports
Imagine yourself smelling the freshly cut grass as you walk onto the field, hearing the bat hit the ball and listening to the children chatting. These are all things I love when I play sports. It is important for children to play a team sport. Sports are a great way to stay healthy, to learn life lessons, and an easy way to make new friends.
Playing sports is necessary to your health. Health is good for your growth and you will get stronger for every part of exercise. If you want to stay fit, you need to exercise outside so you get healthy. Regular exercise allows your muscles to get stronger, and to keep a healthy heart. Having a stronger heart, and stronger muscles will give kids more energy. A healthy heart also allows oxygen to flow better throughout the body which will allow kids to think better. Kids who play sports are less likely to be overweight. Outside activities are good for your body and you can get you heart pumping and going.
Team sports also teaches important life lessons. Teamwork is very important when playing a sport. It doesn't take one person to win a game, it takes a whole team. This also teaches kids to be unselfish and depend on their teammates. Another lesson is to never give up and always keep trying harder when you play a sport. The harder you practice, the better you will get, and you will be rewarded with a win. Playing sports also teaches sportsmanship. A positive attitude will help your team. Teamwork, never giving up, and a positive attitude will help later in life when kids get older and start having jobs. Sometimes during games, it is boring because you have to wait around. I think it teaches patience and sportsmanship. It is good to give your body a rest and to help cheer on your team. It also teaches you how to accept losing. In life, we are not always going to get what we want, and playing a team sport helps teach kids how to handle that.
Playing team sports is a great way to make new friends. You get to meet people who enjoy the same sport. There is a bond between teammates and no one feels left alone. You get to meet people from the community that you would have normally not met. Families also have the chance to meet each other. It is a great way to meet people with different cultures and to learn about them.
I love playing sports because it keeps me healthy, teaches me life lessons, and I get to meet new friends. I have learned to lead by example, to try my hardest all the time, and I have a lot of fun when I am playing with my friends. I encourage all kids to get out and play a team sport and see how it will change your life.
